The Precision Health Information Network Summit
NEW FOR 2024
New name and broader scope for solution-oriented, multi-stakeholder Summit
Starting in 2017, a group of influential leaders from across healthcare, technology, and science began to meet for a series of in-depth, solution-oriented discussions on how to make the promise of precision medicine a reality. Recognizing that the unique complexities of the U.S. healthcare system might prevent the benefits of precision medicine from reaching patients, this group sought to define the primary barriers – especially those related to data and digital infrastructure – and lay out promising, multi-stakeholder solutions.
Until now, the meeting has been known as the Genetic Health Information Network Summit.
Enormous change has occurred over the last seven years. Whitepapers summarize a steady drumbeat of advancement: companies formed, diagnostics innovations delivered, and infrastructure solutions implemented that connect the health information network needed for genomic medicine.
However, in 2023 it also became clear that the scope of these discussions has expanded considerably to include diagnostics, therapeutics, and modalities beyond genomics. To better reflect this broadened scope the group will gather under a new name in 2024:
Precision Health Information Network Summit
New name, same goal
An effective multi-stakeholder ecosystem, if oriented around the well being of the patient, can transform precision health. The Summit will continue to provide a forum for leaders looking to build relationships and collaborate across the healthcare landscape to make this vision a reality. Topics will include all -omics diagnostics, biomarker-informed therapies, and adjacent areas of research, care delivery, and economics.
