Oncology Panel: Emerging prominence of diagnostics & lagging adoption
Genomic lab spend and utilization will almost certainly rise for oncology patients, driven by innovations in genomic profiling, residual disease testing, and screening for new/metastatic disease. Paradoxically, adoption of proven diagnostics remains inconsistent. Many patients with non-small cell lung cancer still do not get tumor profiling. Where are diagnostics driving quality and value? What are the barriers to widespread adoption, and what is showing promise to overcome those barriers?
Lucy Langer, Mia Levy, Lalan Wilfong
